The 2009 season at the Sugar Factory Playhouse promises to be a great one filled with comedy and music. Watch this page for specific audition and performance dates in the near future.

March 2009 – “Don’t Drink the Water” – This comedy takes an American family and puts them in the middle of a country behind the iron curtain in the 1960’s. When they take refuge in the American Embassy, the hilarity begins. This Woody Allen comedy is one you will laughing over for a long time.

June 2009 – “Guys and Dolls” – This classic musical will come to life as Sky Masterson tries to win a bet by taking Sara Brown to Havana, and Adalaide works on getting Nathan Detroit to marry her. In the mean time, Nathan is trying to find a place for a crap game, and time is running out. This wonderful musical will have you humming, laughing and dancing with the cast.

September 2009 – “Arsenic and Old Lace” – What happens to two “innocent” senior ladies when they are discovered to have helped their gentlemen callers over to the “other side”. The basement is filling up with dead bodies when a real killer comes along and wants to put his dead bodies there, too. What a wonderful classic that the entire family can enjoy.

December 2009 – “Miracle on 34th Street” – This Christmas classic now comes to the Sugar Factory Playhouse! Get into the Christmas spirit with this tale of a girl who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus. He looks like Santa, sounds like Santa and acts like Santa, but is only declared to be the real Kris Kringle when the courts prove him to be the one and only. This family classic is sure to bring a smile to your face and Christmas warmth to your heart.
